MGA Portugal: a website that works, built on confirmed facts

A home renovation company in the Porto area now has a contact form that delivers, a page per service, hosting on our servers in the EU and an internal tool for careful partner outreach.

The starting point

MGA Portugal does decks, flooring, painting, air conditioning and heat pumps around Porto. It started with an early static version of its website on Vercel. It looked finished, but the contact form needed a server to run on, so enquiries were not getting through yet.

Search settings still pointed at an older domain, and parts of the copy were placeholder text from the first draft. So the job was two things: make the site work end to end, and make sure every sentence on it was something the company had confirmed.

What we delivered

Everything below went live between late September and early October 2026.

Delivered

Redesign with confirmed content

Built from an approved design, with every fact a visitor reads kept in one data file. Sample testimonials, years in business, certifications and prices still waiting on VAT confirmation were left out on purpose. Projects and reviews appear only once real ones exist.

Delivered

Hosting on EU servers

Moved off Vercel to our own servers at Hetzner in Germany, behind a reverse proxy with automatic Let's Encrypt certificates.

Delivered

A contact form that works

Checked with a real browser submission. Requests land in the company mailbox with Reply-To set to the visitor. Spam is held back by a hidden field, a minimum fill time and an hourly limit per IP that faked headers cannot get around. The sending domain is authenticated with SPF, DKIM and DMARC.

Delivered

A page per service

Decks, flooring, painting, and air conditioning and heat pumps each have their own page, written from facts the owners confirmed.

Delivered

Search setup fixed

Canonical, robots, sitemap and structured data now use the real domain. Business JSON-LD on the homepage, Service and BreadcrumbList on the other pages. The Search Console domain property is verified and Googlebot has fetched the sitemap.

Delivered

Redirects and compression

www redirects to the bare domain with a 301, trailing slashes are normalised, responses are gzip compressed and the 404 page is kept out of the index.

Delivered

Legal pages from real facts

Terms and privacy rewritten from information the owners confirmed. The invented pages were removed and their addresses now redirect to the closest real content.

Delivered

Internal outreach tool

A separate web app in Portuguese and English that helps the company reach possible business partners. Every message is reviewed and approved by a person before it goes out, and removal requests are honoured.

How we worked

  • Every sentence on the site traces back to something the owners confirmed. Anything we could not confirm stayed off the page.
  • Plans and code changes were reviewed independently by two other AI models. We weighed their suggestions rather than accepting them, and rejected the ones that invented promises about availability.
  • We checked the result on the live site: a real form submission, the redirects tested behind the proxy and the Googlebot fetch of the sitemap.
